Green apple. Red berries. Earl grey florals. Sticky toffee pudding. Dark chocolate. The most layered Ugandan washed we've ever stocked.
Bukyabo is the village above The Coffee Gardens' washing station in eastern Uganda. The farmers there bring their cherry down themselves — earning extra income on the journey — and what they deliver is exceptional.
The Coffee Gardens opened in 2017 with a stated mission of farmer welfare, gender equality, and supply-chain transparency. Every registered farmer gets a written contract, a buying-record book, SMS notifications when prices change, and a printed receipt for every transaction. Post-season bonuses. Tree distribution. Year-round training. It's how coffee should work everywhere.
This particular micro-lot is fermented in cherry for one hundred hours under tarpaulin, then pulped and submerged for a forty-hour yeast ferment before drying. 1,800–2,200 metres. SCA 86.5.
Roasted to order in Manchester. Roast date stamped on every bag. Free UK delivery over £30.
